We find beauty in the simplest things. We see it in the night sky, the sparkling new layer of snow on the ground, and the clear streams we pass ever day on our way to school. We tend to think of the hard things to make beautiful. We look at our selves and try to change it. Looking through a new magazine only to see impossibly thin models and other various things to make you feel like you should have skipped lunch today. You become self conscious, and forget about the beauty you used to hold. You paste expensive makeup on your face, and buy “fashionable” clothing apparel to make your self more beautiful. Sadly, you instantly lose the beauty we are all born with. Yes, I do agree that you should look somewhat put together and have some nice clothes, but you should never lose yourself in the thought of becoming better looking. I think the world has gone crazy over beauty to the extremes. People are forcing themselves to throw up, and get crazy amounts of unneeded (and uncomfortable) clothing articles. We need to stop caring about what other people will say. You should be you, and nothing but your honest self. The world is constantly changing, and that’s perfectly fine with me, but I feel as though we will no longer have the look you should love. Yourself.
I found inspiration from this link: Airbrush. What would you do in this situation? Would it be okay with you, or would you be angry if they had your photos airbrushed?

I would feel very scared and uneducated. I also would hide from everybody including my best best friends and teachers including the principal. No, it would be bad and my parents and I would be sad and mad about them being airbrushed. I want our old non-airbrushing school photos idea back in business.
ReplyDeleteI agree but at the same time if the whole world stopped many people lose jobs and other things but yet some people do and some people don't.
ReplyDeleteI would be angry if my parents did this be cause they are supposed to love us no mater how we look.
ReplyDeleteI think that some people worry about their looks way to much. I think just as long you are happy about yourself, then you shouldn't think about what people think of you. I also think that just as long you look nice and neat, then you are fine. I agree with everything that Felicia said.
ReplyDeletePerfect is never perfect, like enough is never enough. They are being mad that there kids photos need to look better then that kids photos. They would probably do so much to keep the kid from finding what she/he actually looked like. No mirrors and no fishing (reflection in water.) They would never stop until the Kid got older and he would notice what she/he actually looked like and then they would HATE THEIR PARENTS FOREVER!!!
ReplyDeleteMaking yourself beautiful is aport of yourself. Makes you look at yourself and go, "Hey I look nice!" Changing yourself is apart of life and to show who your are.
ReplyDeleteI find this ok in some situations, but beauty is on the inside and on the outside. So I suggested to the people to "airbrush" your kids photos. Yes I see how it could boost there self esteem, but I find it wayyy taken to far. So I suggest to most parents out there. Don't "airbrush" there pictures.
ReplyDeleteI feel that airbrushing is deceitful and unneeded as it is shining over the authenticity and the truth. nobody is perfect so don't try to be even though sometimes you want to change it. Airbrushing negates from your childhood even with the slightest of tinkering can change how everybody looks at you. The minor stuff in the picture is the spice of life even though you may not want it now but when your older and you can look back through the good and the bad and in the end you can see how far you've gone through life. airbrushing takes away the experience of "oh so that's how I looked back then". Pictures are meant to be memories and airbrushing turns pictures into nothing just pictures.

ReplyDeleteI would feel very scared and uneducated if school photos were this way. I also would hide from everybody including my best best friends and teachers including the principal. ReplyDeleteI think everyone that has already commented on this has made some pretty good comments. I think that Hallie, Ali, Morgan and Dalton said something close to mine and a little more.
If they had my photo airbrushed what ever that means I would not be happy because that would be giving out some information about me and the people who see me will try to rob me and break into my house.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that people would throw up because they weren't pretty, or because they thought they weren't pretty. I would feel kinda weird and ashamed of myself.
ReplyDeleteFor people to think that they are imperfect and feel ashamed of how they look is very sad. I think that people should respect themselves for who they are and they should be proud to be who they are. You never know when someone out there is looking for someone like you. You just have to look, too. If you want to make yourself look "perfect" take care of yourself and be you. Not some starving supermodel. If you're over weight a bit and you don't like it, then do something about it. If you don't do anything about it then you are going to feel awful about yourself. Not everyone is the so called "perfect" but everyone has something unique about themselves and everyone has there talents. You should be who you are and no one else. People love you for it. The people who don't like you are jealous, because they haven't figured out how to care for themselves like you have.
ReplyDeleteI would be angry if my parents did this because god made me who i am and they should do the same.
ReplyDeleteThat's wrong. I would be upset if my parents edit my picture like that because that means they don't like me the way I am. Your parents are suppose to be the one that tells you the truth and likes you the way you are, but if they can't do that how can other people?
ReplyDeleteThat would make me feel really upset. Like Elicia said if my parents did something like that I would probably run away. Because who would want to live with someone after they did something like that. Its just cruel to do something like that. But if it was like your sister or brother you shouldn't feel bad cause I mean its your sister/brother what are you going to expect. But your Parents thats who you would least expect.
ReplyDeleteIn this situation i would be not happy with my parents i would tell the how that makes me feel. I would be angry if my parents did this be cause they are supposed to love us no mater how we look.
ReplyDeleteIn this situation I would feel like, why in the world would someone do that? I'd rather be seen in a picture the way I am, just plain old me, and my flaws sticking out into the world saying "I don't care what I look like I'm perfectly fine just the way I am." Then be seen in a picture with no flaws at all.
ReplyDeleteI would hate it if my school pictures were changed because they are my pictures and they are perfect cause my family loves them because they are natural.
